Acceptance Garden
Chautauqua Institution - Chautauqua, New York

Located within one of the most traveled areas of Chautauqua Institution, the Acceptance Garden will celebrate the values of hope, tolerance, and reflection. This tranquil space will feature native plantings, sculpture, and symbolic elements, including a direct descendant of the Chestnut Tree in Amsterdam that inspired Anne Frank.
The garden will:
- Honor persecuted and disenfranchised groups
- Offer a place of reflection and natural beauty
- Provide healing after recent tragedies
- Create a setting for education, remembrance, and peace
